Food cost calculator, free
Enter your ingredients, what they cost you and your menu price: you see right away the cost of a portion, your food cost, your margin and the price to charge for the target you choose. No account, nothing is saved.
Why choose Nueve
Everything starts from your own photos and your dishes: a tool made for restaurants, not generic software.
The real cost of a portion
Enter the share lost in preparation (peelings, trimmings, cooking): the sum starts from what you really buy.
Your food cost in %
The cost of a portion divided by its menu price before tax: the figure that tells whether a dish pays.
The price for your target
Pick the food cost you aim for: the calculator gives the menu price that reaches it.
What you get
The food cost formula
Food cost = ingredient cost of one portion ÷ menu price before tax × 100. The cost of an ingredient = quantity used × purchase price ÷ (1 − share lost).
The 4 boxes of your menu
In Nueve, every dish keeps its cost, its price and its margin. With your sales, it lands in a box: what sells and pays, what pays but sells little (to push), what sells without paying (to rework), what does neither (to drop).
Your sales, nothing to type
Send the photo of the end-of-day receipt or the file your till exports (PDF, CSV): the AI reads it, you check, it is saved. The orders of your Nueve website count too.
An advisor that reads your figures
Nueve's advisor reads only what you open to it and tells you what to do with your dishes. Its questions help you sharpen your figures for better advice.
Do it for your whole menu
Add your restaurant and your dishes: Nueve keeps the cost, the margin and the sales of each one.
